Bipolar disorder can present itself as simple mood swings or even as what some would call “alter egos” because it shows a complete swing of a person from manic to depression. There are very many reasons as to why a person would find themselves bipolar but the main one is due to genetics. However, there could be an imbalance in hormones or too much stress on a person that they become mentally exhausted leaving them vulnerable for chemical imbalances in the brain. If you find yourself overworked, mentally exhausted, have gone through a traumatic experience or know for a fact that bipolar disorder runs in your family and have been feeling the symptoms listed above, it would be a good idea to talk with your doctor. People who suffer from bipolar disorder tend to have more risk for heart disease, obesity or even thyroid problems. So it is best to have yourself checked out.
