What to do when you’re depressed.
What to do when you’re depressed: Depression is an illness that takes over a person’s life, it gives them little to be happy about even though they have everything to be happy about.
When you are depressed, you may feel tired, confused, saddened, feel pain that is not really there, have muscle aches, eat more or less than usual and even have some suicidal thoughts. This is all very typical and can range in severity through different people.
When you feel depressed you may feel as though you will never be able to be happy again, in one’s mind there is no reason for living. There is no point to this or that. It is not only frustrating but very painful to go through; not just for the person going through it but the people connected to that person as well.
The hardest thing to think about when being depressed is happiness, but simply put nothing seems to make you happy. Depression can stem from all walks of life such as losing a loved one, divorcing a loved one, becoming engulfed in the stress of life and even having a baby. Depression can make a person feel as though they have nothing in the world to live for even when they have just had a newborn baby.
If you are depressed the best thing that you could possibly do for yourself is to get up and move around, even if you do not feel like it. Moving around can be anything from going for walk to dancing. Find something that gets your body moving. Choose karate, aerobics or even yoga.
Secondly, write it out. Do not keep all that depression bottled deep inside, let it out. Writing down your thoughts can help you to discover what it is that you are depressed about and knowing is half the battle.
Once you have found a physical and emotional outlet for your depression you will find yourself finding more joy back in your life, leaving you to feel less depressed every day.
